Manipura

'People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is light from within.' ~ Elisabeth K├╝bler-Ross

'Our inner fire is the source of our energy, our creativity and our sense of personal power. It is the spark of life that ignites our will to act and transforms the raw material of our dreams and desires into tangible form.

In the ancient tradition of Ayurveda and Yoga, our inner fire or 'Agni' is said to reside in the solar plexus, the third energy centre or chakra - the Manipura, which means 'city of jewels' - our centre of desire, will, longing, of 'getting it done', of self-esteem. The Manipura chakra is depicted as a brilliant yellow lotus flower with ten petals radiating from its centre. A shining yellow sun glowing from the centre of our body, transforming matter into energy and giving us light and warmth. It is the sun that shines from within to transform and metabolise our lives. When the inner fire of the Manipura chakra is weak or blocked, we may feel tired, frustrated and withdrawn. We're scared to take risks or confront people or issues. We don't have enough energy to plant and nourish the seeds of our intentions and desires, so they are unable to germinate and flourish. On a physical level, the third chakra governs the pancreas, adrenal glands and our metabolism.

Chant the Manipura mantra 'RAM' to awaken the fire within, to strengthen our power and nourish our inner fire that burns away whatever is no longer serving us, including limiting beliefs, ideas and memories. Feel the vibration electrify, enliven and awaken the chakra of desire, intention, will and destiny. Lets plant our intentions in this life-giving sun, a seed that is pregnant with possibility, that will lead to the birth of something new in our lives.

Transform yourself through the power of your radiant sun. We transform the world by transforming ourselves. Feel the light of transformation pouring out from your Manipura chakra, as it shines on everyone you come into contact with. Feel the glow, feel that sun, feel the Agni, the fire, feel your golden self and know that you are not in the Universe, the Universe is in you, thriving with possibility, with pure potentiality.'
