Prayer for Change

'Dear God and angels: Please help me to love and value myself and treat myself with loving care. Please help me to know that I too deserve happiness and that I have the right to change my life in healthful ways. Thank you for supporting me as I stand in my power and strength and for helping others to accept and support the changes that I need to make in order to grow.' ~ Doreen Virtue

Now is the Time

'The source of darkness is the denial of my Light. Owning my power and embracing Love's unconditional presence releases the suffocating hold of fear. Now is the time for my awakening.' ~ Dr. Darren Weissman

Getting in Tune

'When we are in tune with Universal Consciousness, when we are synchronised with the non-local intelligence field ~ we become the power that emanates from the One Boundless Force. It gives you strength and flexibility that allows you to meet any challenge effortlessly. You can become capable of transforming any challenge in such a way that it nourishes you. This power comes from within, the internal reference of Spirit and when you have it, nothing is beyond your reach.' ~ Davidji

Goal of Yoga

'Yoga means union. Union of the mind, body and spirit with the Divine. Union of the head with the heart. We need to learn to integrate head and heart ~ the faculties of the intellect are discrimination and concentration, those of the heart are love and compassion. The heart is the passionate centre that fuels the journey to attain true knowledge. There is no spiritual path without the heart. Discovering the infinite space within the heart is the goal of yoga.' ~ Unknown

Please help me be willing to release old non-forgiveness and anger. Please help me clearly see solutions and possibilities. Please help my mind and emotions be healthy in all ways. Thank you.' ~ Doreen Virtue

Rose Goddess

'A bit of fragrance always clings to the hand that gives roses.' ~ Chinese Proverb

'The rose is the symbol of the Divine Feminine which contains love, joy, secrecy, silence, achievement, manifestation and righteousness along with the undying Divine power of a Forever Being. It represents completion, it represents love. I invite you to welcome the feminine image of God ~ the Goddess ~ back into your life. Feel Her presence within you, allow Her to turn the winter of your existence into a creative and life-sustaining spring.' ~ Bettye Johnson

Before You Speak

'Before you speak: ask yourself ~
is it kind,
is it necessary,
is it true,
does it improve on the Silence?'
~ Sai Baba

Shakti Goddess Pose

'Shakti is the primordial feminine power that pervades the Universe. According to the Vedas, Shakti is the force that converts the raw cosmic energy of Shiva into the infinite shapes, forms, movements, sounds and colours of Creation.

This celestial matriarch who dwells within us, has three forms: Kali or Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. As Kali Ma, Shakti represents procreation, the dark void of the cosmic womb from where the Universe emerges. Durga, Kali’s counterpart, is the ‘protectress’, urging us to guard the interests of our families. Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity, nurtures the young and enriches the domestic environment. And Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom, provides us with the intuition to teach and guide our brood.

A powerful way to access this Shakti-prana and connect with the Divine Mother within, is to practice the Shakti Asana or yoga ‘goddess pose'. With your head pointing east, lie on your back and stretch out your legs, about hip-width apart. Keep your arms by your sides, palms up, then bring the soles of your feet together, so that your knees fall towards the floor on either side. Extend the stretch without straining. Feel the pull in your pelvis and visualise the intake of breath coming in through your body, through the vagina, letting this energy flow up to your belly. Then slowly release it downward and out through the vagina, letting go of all negativity. With each intake of breath imagine Shakti in the form of a white light flooding your Being, activating the powerful Goddess within. Hold the posture for as long as possible and feel her subtle luminescence within you.' ~ Bri Maya Tiwari

For me, the Shakti asana is a way to reconnect with my power as a woman, to embrace the vulnerability of opening my body and spirit to the Divine and to celebrate my beautiful body and my sexuality. Powerful!

Sacred Witness

'Be still. Take time to move within that silent place within yourself. Locate your internal Source of Power. In silence you will find the place of your Sacred Witness, it's the dwelling place of the Soul.' ~ Soul Coaching Oracle Cards by Denise Linn

Grain of Sand

'All you have to do is contemplate a simple grain of sand, and you will see in it all the marvels of Creation. Listen to your heart. It knows all things, because it came from the Soul of the World, and it will one day return there.' ~ The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

World of Relativity

'Why gaze down sewers when there is loveliness all around us? One may find fault in even the greatest masterpieces of art, music and literature. But isn't it better to enjoy their charm and glory? Life has a bright side and a dark side, for the world of relativity is composed of light and shadows. If we permit our thoughts to dwell on negativity, we ourselves will become negative. Look only for the good in everything and then we will absorb this quality of beauty too.' ~ Paramahamsa Yogananda

Furry Angel Girl

Today I'm in a gratitude space ~ my little silver tigresse Pistachio had her stitches out this morning! Thank you angels, for knitting that gash closed in record time and for helping my little furry angel girl to be brave, endure and return to her sparkling self. The significance of how we mirror each other is not lost on me! (Mom and baby are healing nicely simultaneously!) We are here for each other, how I LOVE this little family of mine. I know we are Divinely guided and protected now and always and I am deeply grateful. Lots of kitty-love ahead this weekend. x
